BetHard Review - Sports Betting

Is BetHard a reputable sports betting site?

Born in Sweden in 2012, BetHard is a sports betting brand that needs to be taken seriously.  BetHard is regulated from the long-established gaming jurisdiction in Malta which oversees some of the world's top sports betting brands.  They are also licensed for play by the highly regulated markets in Sweden and Denmark.   They have positioned themselves to offer odds that are highly competitive for all the major North American leagues in addition to tennis and the top European soccer leagues.  Many soccer fans will recognise BetHard's co-owner and brand Ambassador Zlatan Ibrahimovic, pictured below.  BetHard serves a wide range of nations, covering much of Europe, Africa, South America and the Middle East.

BetHard banking methods

Debit cards are accepted in addition to Skrill, Neteller, Trustly and EcoPayz among other local methods.

BetHard key features & Early Cash Out

BetHard offers a 'Combo Booster'.  With it, combination bets on top soccer matches from the most popular betting markets may be available for increased payouts of 7% to 30%.  The combo booster is subject to terms and conditions.

BetHard also offers a Cash Out and Partial Cash Out feature.  This let's players forfeit a bet to take early profits or save some money on a losing bet before an event has fully finished.  These cash out features are available towards single and combination bets, but not system / multiples / round robin bets.  Note that since Cash Out offer pricing is dynamic and moves with the events of a match, there are significant terms and conditions to consider to ensure you are familiar with the offered feature.  These are easy to find from the home page and are listed in easy-to-understand language.

BetHard Support Options

BetHard offers 24/7 support.  The quickest response comes via their live chat feature.  For this, you'll need to login as an existing customer.  You can also email support@bethard.com.

BetHard desktop site experience

Navigating BetHard from your desktop is a very fast and intuitive experience.  From the main 'Sports' page, you will notice a large search bar.  Enter your search terms to find a team, participant, league or competition name and quickly navigate to your events of interest.  Note that team and participant names can be represented in different ways.  For example, Bethard uses 'Man Utd' to represent 'Manchester United'.  If you type 'Manchester' quickly, your results would not show your games of interest.  This is not a negative point, just something to keep in mind.

Find the sport and league navigation at left.  BetHard provides helpful quicklinks for the most popular leagues and competitions for the given day.  Leagues are organised by country.  If teams in a given league come from more than one country, BetHard uses the predominant country.  So for example, the NHL will be found under 'Ice Hockey' and 'USA'.

Once you have navigated to a particular league or competition as pictured above (Premier League), you will find all the upcoming matches listed alongside the most popular match betting markets.  To the right of the main match markets, BetHard displays the number of available betting markets for the given event.  If you wish to see the full array of betting markets for your event of choice, simply click on the event name itself or on the number of betting markets.  Next to the 'Game Odds' tab, you will see the 'Outrights' tab.  Click it to open all the available long-term outright markets for the given competition.

The bet slip itself is permanently docked to the right of your screen.  If you want to manage the size of the bet slip, you may click on the 'Multiples' header to expand or minimize this portion of the slip.  The entries for each single bet choice are fairly tall to ensure you may easily read your potential returns.  This means that the bet slip can get quite tall when several selections have been made, so you will likely need to scroll down to manage combination bets.

BetHard mobile site experience

From your mobile, BetHard provides a responsive and intuitive platform to get your bets in, whether live or pre-match.  For the simplest navigation toward your leagues or events of choice, from the sports home page pictured at left, you will find a prominently displayed search bar.  Enter your search terms, then pick from the displayed listings to navigate directly to your events of choice without having to browse from a traditional navigation.

If you prefer to browse by sport, below the search bar, you will note enlarged buttons of particular sports.  Sports with live events will be highlighted for you.

As you add selections to your bet slip, this will be highlighted when the minimized betting slip pops from the bottom of your screen.  Tap the strip to maximize the bet slip, you'll note that it pops in from the right, but not the entire screen is covered.  At left, the main site is still peeking through.  When you want to minimize the bet slip again, tap on this left area that is peeking through.

You may input your stakes using your mobile's keyboard, but the '+' and '-' buttons provide a smoother experience.  There are no real problems if you want to input the stakes yourself, you just need to tap outside of the stake input field once you are done.  Depending on your phone's sensitivity, it might take more than one tap to get the keyboard back off your screen.

How does BetHard's odds compare to other sportsbooks?

When it comes to the most popular sports and leagues, BetHard wants to be highly competitive.  You will find odds margins for the main betting markets for the 'Top Four' North American leagues and top soccer leagues at around 4% to 5%.  This is right in-line with other reputable betting sites that have a new customer promotion.  Margins for top tennis matches can get as low as 2% which is as on par with some of the best low-margin betting sites.

Additional BetHard gaming verticals

When you play at BetHard, you will have direct access to their online casino, live-dealer casino and fantasy sports offering.  You will simply need to deposit or transfer money to the wallet that corresponds with these particular games.  In other words, you will not play all of these verticals from a single account balance.
