International cricket odds expressed in American, Decimal and Fractional Formats

For American odds format, keep in mind the difference between positive and negative expressions.  Both use the figure of $100, but in different ways.  When a negative number, the odds are below even-money and the odds express how much one must wager in order to return a profit of $100.  For example, if England is favoured heavily, you might see a figure of -290.  This means you would need to wager $290 for a potential profit of $100 and a total potential return of $390.  When you see a positive odds price in American format such as +190, this expresses how much potential profit you will gain when you wager $100.  At +190 on Australia, a winning bet of $100 would return your stake plus $190 in profit for a total return of $290. 

For the Decimal odds format, you simply multiply your stake amount by the decimal odds price to see the full amount that would be returned on a win, including your stake amount.  For example, if you wagered $100 at a price of 1.57 on India, your total potential return would be $157, a profit of $57. 

For Fractional odds format, the odds express the potential profit.  For example, if you bet $100 at an odds price of 1/2 (one-to-two), the potential profit would be $50 (1 divided by 2, multiplied by $100). You would also receive the returned $100 stake for a total return of $150.  In the case of underdogs, where odds are above the even mark, the numerator will be higher than the denominator.  An example of this would be odds such as 5/2 (said five-to-two) on Pakistan.  With a stake of $100, your profit would simply multiply the fraction by the stake such as 5/2 X $100.  Thus your potential profit would be $250.  Including your stake of $100, your total potential return would be $350.
